December 2011
This month we have been busy restoring a M172A1 Trailer and fixing the M915 Tractor that goes with it. The trailer needed a complete restoration, we have also modified the rear with a custom beaver-tail so you can drive armor right up and on without using the ramps. Using small blocks wheeled vehicles will go right on. The standard ramps are huge and extremely heavy, we cut them down to size so one person can handle them and use them if desired.
We are also wrapping up a modification to the owners Sexton to allow him to actually drive it. This involved cutting the gun mount and placing the seat on rails so he can slide back and forward as needed to be in a comfortable driving position. The tractor, trailer, and Sexton will all be going home to Maine soon.
We are also almost done with a Engine Conversion for the WC series 3/4 ton's. Using the owners WC-56 as a test-bed, we are installing a small-block 70's chevy truck engine into it. We have managed to do this without making ANY modifications to the original vehicle! This will allows the vehicle to be put back to original very quickly - so you don't lose any value. All of the controls, shifts, and even 4 wheel drive are the same as with the original motor. The 3/4 ton's are notorious DOGS to drive - now you can go 70mph in your command car! We have 2 more conversions lined up after this one is done. Stay tuned for videos.
The OT-810 is finally leaving as of Dec 30th - the holdup had been getting the canvas done - if you check out the latest pictures you can see how nice it looks with the seats and canvas done.

We are also working on a Sexton, an M20, and soon an OT-810 that is to be modified to look like a German SdKfz 251.
